About TTC Lifting

1969

ABLE Lifting Gear (Midlands) ltd, operating from Lyde Green, Halesowen ABLE Lifting was initially set up to service local industry by way of: Hire Service, Repair and Sales of all types of lifting gear.

1971

Due to the Black Country being a strong hold within the steel industry, word of mouth and reputation was growing. Companies within the steel industry were requesting their knowledge experience and support. South Wales was a Particular area, thus creating an opening of ABLE Lifting (Swansea) Ltd. Again ABLE would assist in the local area

1972

In order to keep up with the demand for lifting tackle, a new company needed to be set up, operating from offices in Telford, thus creating the name Telford Trading Company. TTC was to source and supply quality products from around Europe, then be distributed through Ables outlets

1973

TTC obtain Sole and Exclusive rights for distribution of Brano lifting products, throughout the United Kingdom & Ireland. (Brano products had already been producing products for over 50 years. For a period of this time, Brano had been jointly owned by YALE manufacturing in Germany and still to this day produce and sell goods to Tractel in France).

1974

Operating from premises on the Pembrokeshire Docks, electronics Sonoma Ltd opens. Sonoma was to manufacture electronic weighing devices such as load and compression cells. Also to be distributed through TTC Lifting.

1976

TTC gains a complete network of distributors around the UK and Ireland. TTC starts first exports of Brano products. TTC officially register company as TTC (Lifting Gear) Ltd.

1979

Due to international expertise. TTC negotiate & Receive sole exclusive rights to import quality mild steel chains. To be sold directly to chain manufactures in the UK. As not to confuse with the lifting gear trade, all sales to go through company (CTC).

1986

Sonoma Ltd becomes incorporated within the TTC group

1996

Due to steady decline within mining industry, chain sales were on decline

1999

TTC open negotiations over sole exclusive rights for UK with major, Lifting and materials handling manufacturer in far east.

2001

TTC & Hu-Lift Corporation sign exclusive UK agreements for joint partnership to distribute all lifting products. All products sold under the TTC brand.

2005/6

TTC receive exclusive rights and launch new product Electric chain hoist. TTC Launch their first full colour price list

2007

Launch of the TTC Website. Over 200 pages of TTC own brand equipment c/w technical information – visit us now www.ttclifting.com

2008

TTC re-brand their own brand equipment and RAPTOR PRODUCTS was created

2009

Extended the already successful range of drum handling equipment to now include forklift attachments.

1999

TTC & Hu-Lift Corporation sign exclusive UK agreements for joint partnership to distribute all lifting products. All products sold under the TTC brand.

2010

1st quarter – TTC Acquired the assets and machinery of Rope Services (Tipton) Ltd and started to re-locate to Cradley Heath. 2nd quarter – TTC move into new 40,000 square ft premises situated adjacent to current factory, and start to re-assemble machinery for manufacture. 3rd quarter – Completion of our in house rigging department which includes 4 wire rope swager presses ranging from 150-1,500Tons, enabling to be a truly global supplier. 4th quarter -our fully functional synthetic department was completed, enabling us to manufacture round slings up to 40Tonne from our 3 purpose built machines – To complement our round sling capabilities TTC have 9 heavy duty sewing machines to manufacture duplex slings up to 15tonne and a range of load restraint equipment.

2011

TTC Bring out extended price list which now includes UK manufactured Web Slings & Round Slings

2014

TTC steps in to the 21st century with the introduction of social media accounts

2015

TTC becomes UK Distributor for The Ludwig Hook and Cartec Chain Systems

2018

TTC revolutions its manufacturing facility adding a UK first 4 lane Roundsling machine to help with production capacity whilst increasing quality of the products.

2019

We go Fully Auto!! TTC purchase 2 fully automatic CNC Sewing machines, this no gives us the ability to manufacture in excess of over 500 ratchets a day or even over 1500+ endless webbing sling a day!!

2020

Were going Digital – TTC integrate a new software system to help manage/control and increase efficacity we also aim to go paperless within 2 years.
